STEP INTO THE LIGHT
CHOOSE SINCERITY, GENUINENESS,
AND HONESTY, REJECTING THE
NATURAL LEANINGS OF MANKIND
TOWARD BEING A POSER, HYPOCRITE,
OR AN IMPOSTER.
READ THE BIBLE FOR YOURSELF WITH
THE GUIDANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
AND PRAYER AND BUILD A
RELATIONSHIP WITH THE BOOK’S
AUTHOR, THE ONE WHO PROVIDES
SEED FOR THE SOWER AND BREAD
FOR THE EATER. HIS WORDS WILL NOT
RETURN TO HIM WITHOUT ACHIEVING
HIS DESIRED RESULT.
HIS DESIRED RESULT IS TO FIND TRUE
FOLLOWERS, TRUE BELIEVERS WHO
ARE WILLING TO LOVE HIM IN RETURN
BY OBEYING EVERYTHING HE TAUGHT.
The bible is the only legitimate starting point for the honest truth seeker. Jesus himself testified that he was sent to fulfill everything written about him.
And the bible has no shortage of the phrase “it is written” within its many pages with Jesus regularly using this phrase as he instructed his followers in the truth.
Forsake any inclination of your mind and heart to pursue acquiring your education in spiritual matters from any source other than quiet time alone with his Holy Spirit.
Don’t read the biographies or any material written by the reformers, famous pastors, commentaries, etc. These all have the potential of leading you astray from the truth of God’s word.
Don’t pursue indoctrination into false teachings by attending a seminary or other religious institution. The Holy Spirit is your teacher.
A true relationship with God can’t grow under the influence of false teachers and false teachings.
Don’t be fooled by the many denominations that oppose the unity that Jesus prayed for. There are false teachings in every denomination.
Using your free will, make choices that strengthen your relationship with Jesus and his Father.
Never frustrate the Holy Spirit. Cooperation with the Holy Spirit living inside you is required for eternal life.
Sadly, every Christian has had to start out in a hole, having been indoctrinated by many false teachers, religions, and doctrines before they begin reading the bible for themselves. Most of these teachings will need to be unlearned.
Step away from these false teachers and organizations until you are grounded in the truths of the Bible, then engage with the “Christian” community cautiously as they will oppose you on every important issue, men learning from other men who have been misled to follow lies rather than the truth.
As the apostle Paul said to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, you will need to walk this road alone for a while until your understanding of God’s revealed truth becomes clearer and you can discuss and defend spiritual principles with those who have been led astray by false teachers.
True believers will eventually find community with other true believers who have read and studied the Bible on their own and will agree on the common truths they have discovered, guided by the Spirit.
Be patient and allow the Holy Spirit to do his work.
Get the Holy Spirit, pray, and read the Bible. (Luke 11:11-13)
