Shaken but not Stirred

DAILY VERSE

At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Hebrews 12:26-27

DEVOTION

You can certainly consider this virus spreading globally, at this point, to be shaking things up. But allowing fear to be our primary response is something God wouldn’t approve of.

We should rest in the peace of knowing that whatever happens, our eternal home is in heaven. God wants us to focus on His promises and have faith that He will protect us and get us through this.

Remember, God is the great physician. He created all things and holds all things together. Nothing happens without His knowledge, He is in control!

Bradley Hilton grew up in the church and has always been a believer; it wasn't until 2000 that he reaffirmed his faith and went all-in for Jesus. At that point his life was transformed and he felt a nudge from God to start leading a men's group in the church. The influence of this group led him through a regeneration process that changed his life for a more active service for God.
