A short, yet profound TRUTH to consider for the New Years 2026!

In one profound statement carry the following into 2026:

“Jesus does not need your resolutions, your recommitments, or your promises to try harder this year. If your resolve to obey God last year did not help you to be faithful, it will not make you successful this year. Jesus asks for your love. If you truly love Him, your service for Him in the new year will be of the quality that He desires.” — Experiencing God Day-by-Day

“If you love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15

    Yes, the “Spirit of Love” is the divine essence of God, the ultimate reality, and the most powerful force in the universe. It’s the source of all good, healing, and harmonious existence. By expressing this universal, selfless love in every action we overcome evil, fear, and lack.

Andy Oldham is the founder and co-creator of Christian Grandfather Magazine. He received his B.A. in religious studies and education from Anderson University. He has served as pastor to senior adults, and fills pulpits when needed. Andy taught memoir classes at the local library and after writing his personal memoirs wrote Everlasting Cronies, a story of growing up in rural Louisiana. His inspirational column in the Northside Sun Newspaper was well received by his community. A poem, Winters Grace has been honored by the Mississippi Poetry Society. He and his wife, Barbara, have six grandchildren and enjoy retirement in Mississippi.
