My Help Comes from the Lord
“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life. The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.” (Psalm 121: 1-3, 5-8)
Where do you get help from, yourself, family, or friends? Is their help always the best help? God, who has all knowledge loves you and wants to help you, does have the best help. He authored the bestselling book of all time, The Bible, written to help you and to know Him better. Knowing God better will help you. Being more like Jesus will help you. Studying the Bible will help you, give you comfort, peace, counsel, direction, wisdom, knowledge and hope.
Skip Brinkley became a Christian at age 30 and has served in the church as a youth and adult Sunday school teacher, ministry leader in prayer, evangelism, security, usher/greeter, Alpha, and men’s ministry.
