My Grandpa Would Say Something and Then Back it up With a Bible Verse. I Learned God’s Word in the Bible This Way

Grandpa would say, “Rain or shine God loves you,” and then use a Bible verse like: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

Grandpa said, “Remember, whether you’re having a good day or a bad day, be glad,” and then he’d quote this Bible verse: “This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24

I said, “How can I rejoice and be glad when I’m having a bad day?” Grandpa would smile and say, “Because if you believe and trust in Jesus, the Lord is always with you in all your good times and bad times.”

Then Grandpa would quote this Bible verse, “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’”
Isaiah 41:10

I’m thankful that my Grandpa loved me so much and taught me to love God and His Word in the Bible that has strengthened and comforted me all of my days.

And when you do, “For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.” Isaiah 55:12

God loves you. “Your Word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.“ Psalms 119:105
