Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;” Isaiah 61:1

“Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free.”
Psalm 118:5

“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
II Corinthians 3:17

“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

Skip Brinkley became a Christian at age 30 and has served in the church as a youth and adult Sunday school teacher, ministry leader in prayer, evangelism, security, usher/greeter, Alpha, and men’s ministry. For a decade he helped organize his local National Day of Prayer. is happily married and has a wonderful wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandsons. He has been writing since 2014, sharing God’s love in the Bible for all people. His blog was launched in 2021, and in 2023 he was Nominated Who’s Who in American Writers.
