CLOSED DOORS

CLOSED DOORS

We thank God for open doors. Why not thank God for closed doors? I wonder how many times God closed a door to spare us something or to lead us to some place better or knew there was something we could not handle?

Our job is not to force doors open or freak out about doors that are closed but rather to trust God. If God shuts a door, stop banging on it. Try to enjoy the scenery on the detours of life. God sometimes gets us off track to get us on track.

Closed doors, necessary endings and roadblocks can be gifts. Corrie ten Boom said: “Hold everything in your hands lightly, otherwise it hurts when God pries your fingers open”.
