We must guard our hearts because God valued our hearts, the hearts of our grandchildren, and their parents since He sent his Son, Jesus, into the world to die on the cross for our sins. How do we guard our hearts?

“TIME TO CHILL”
Chilling out may be needed more than many other things found within the church and within a Christian’s life. This is especially evident as division runs rampant, and where the pandemic has pitted Christians against each other over politics and social events. How do we stay calm?
A Prayer for Grandchildren Returning to School
School started in many states last week and more this week. It is time we remember that our grandchildren face a different culture than we did when we were in school. Lillian offers a simply prayer to pray over our grands as they enter school this year.
NOW I KNOW WHY THIS IS HAPPENING TO ME!
When we have ongoing problems, we naturally ask God, “WHY?!! Why won’t you fix this, God? Why are you so slow in answering my prayer? What is the purpose of this prolonged frustration?!” While God does not often answer the “why” questions, He does want to answer the “what is the purpose” question.
WAITING TIME IS NEVER WASTED TIME
Without a doubt, one of the hardest things to do in the Christian life is to wait on the Lord. What is that issue in your life that you are waiting on God for? How will you spend your time waiting on God to move? Will you wait His way?
Have you heard of a “praying Babushka”?
There is no doubt that the days of the tyrants were terrible. But we also live in a time of fierce spiritual battle. As dads and grandfahters and the patriarchs of our families we can learn a lot from these precious women and become rock solid men who pray for our grands.
Have you ever paid a heavy price for a conviction?
Do you walk the moral high ground? Or, do you just say you do? When called to pay the price, are you true to your convictions to the point of losing your job, or perhaps you life?
Activity for your Gandkids
Have you looked for ways to grow closer to your grandkids? Have you wondered what their favorite things are? Lillian provides a simple way to do both.
The Guardhouse
Every day we are bombarded with messages, some true and some false. The books we read, movies we see, television shows we watch, social media we use, and content we view online all bang at the guardhouse of our heart, demanding entrance . . . itching to set up camp. That’s why we “must” guard our heart above all else.
Which Way Do I Go Lord?
“Life’s greatest discovery is knowing the will of God, and life’s greatest satisfaction is doing the will of God.” Do you believe that? Paul openly tells us that God’s will is always “good and acceptable and perfect.” We serve a good God Who loves us, and desires greatly to guide us through every day life! How do I find the will of God for my life?
Do Not Leave Things Undone!
As grandfathers, is there anything you have left undone in your life? Is there unforgiveness toward someone? Is there something you have held in your heart for many years, that you know is wrong, yet you hold on to it? With our life shorter than ever, Carrie reminds us that we must not let things go undone. It is time to get our lives in order! “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1
Are you in the winter season of your prayer life with your grandkids?
For Grandfathers to pray intentionally it means a determination to pray in a certain way, done by intention or design. Lillian provides some tools that enable us to pray intentionally, and regularly, for our grandchildren and their parents.
