A Grandfather’s Words of Wisdom, “What is More Beautiful?”

Grow in the image of Jesus all your days . . .

6 min read

What is more beautiful than fields of flowers, or spectacular sunrises and sunsets, or gazing upon majestic hills and mountains, or seeing cascading waterfalls, or watching waves flowing in towards a sandy beach?

What is more beautiful than the birds that fly and the songs they sing, or of all the many beautiful animals across the earth?

What is more beautiful than the smile on the faces of babies and the young and old, or looking at pictures of the ones you love, or of family and friends running and playing together, or sitting while talking and listening to each other’s stories, or of those who have reached out a hand to help you in your life, or of hearing the words, “I love you” or holding the ones you love and gazing into their eyes?”

Then grandfather said, “These things are very wonderful and beautiful, but there’s nothing more beautiful than to be in the presence and loving arms of the One who made all these things, the earth, the sky, the sea, the animals and us. Spend time with the Lord, talk to Him, pray to Him, read the Bible, the most beautiful book ever written. and it was written by God that you would know Him and His deep love for you. Learn His Word, know the Lord better and be blessed. Grow in the image of Jesus all your days and let the Holy Spirit fill you with love and wisdom. Then the beauty of your smile will brighten the lives of those you meet.”

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3‬:‭11‬a

““For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.” Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭12‬ ‭
