You Adulteresses
James 4:4, “You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God?”
In this age of tolerance, where truth is being redefined, there is a growing reluctance in the church to take a definitive stand on any issue. The so-called tolerance is actually a perverted and dangerous distortion of truth to corrupt Christ’s command to love your enemies. Biblical love is telling people the Truth about the sin and perversion that is now being championed today, and the judgement that awaits them.
Many professing Christians who have chosen to be friends with the world, have become the enemies of God. Quite frankly, I am shocked that anyone claiming to follow Christ would put themselves in that position!
You’re heart is either heaven bound or hell bound, the two are mutually exclusive. You can either uphold what God says in His Word, or you can support the satanic world system of corruption, what you cannot do is have one foot in heaven and the other in hell.
False teachers are doing their best to convince Christians to be just as inclusive, as non-Christians. Truth will always be incompatible in the world ruled by Satan, we cannot embrace anyone who alters the Gospel message to make it more palatable by leaving out sin, repentance and judgement.
2 John 1:11, “If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.”
However, citing religious beliefs to reject another person’s way of life, in a culture that has declared war on all biblical standards, one can expect strong resistance. If you take a firm stand for God, the world will hate you. That’s just the way it is. Because the Truth of God will always confront sin.
John 15:22. “If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.”
Rather than shrink back in fear and intimidation, as Christians, we must rise above all the voices of confusion and boldly proclaim God’s truth, that Jesus Christ is the only true hope for the people of this perishing hell bound world.
We are commanded to speak the truth that adheres to the Word of God, not lies that pacifies a sinful society. True Christianity holds its ground amidst the shifting sands of a ever-changing culture. What is True, remains true, it doesn’t matter what you or I think or feel about it, God is the source of all Truth, we bring nothing to the table.
If your pastor is neglecting to preach the Truth that can save someone’s soul, denouncing sin and the call for repentance from sins, if their messages are more about politics, or social issues rather than Truth, lovingly urge them to be honest, transparent in handling God’s Word. It is as much responsibility of the congregation to hold the pastor accountable as it is the pastors responsibility to hold the congregation accountable. Correction must always be based upon God’s Word.
Brian Monzón grew up attending church with his grandmother. Through her actions, she impressed upon him the power of the prayers of the righteous, as she herself spent many hours kneeling before God, praying for her family and the needs of others. Besides being a pastor, Brian has been studying and teaching the Word of God for many years. He has devoted his life to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, praying with and for others, especially the unsaved. Brian is also a proud father of four children. He challenges them to be their best and has strived to raise his family up in church and on the Word of God. To discover more about Brian and his ministry please visit Brian Monzón Ministries.
