The Mind of Christ
Scripture:
Philippians 2:5 (KJV)
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”
Reflection:
This isn’t just a call to imitate—it’s a call to inhabit.
To think as Christ did. To live as He loved. To choose humility when pride tempts us, and to serve when self-calls us higher.
What was His mindset?
Humility: Though He was God, He laid aside privilege to walk with humanity.
Obedience: He followed the Father’s will, even unto death.
Compassion: He welcomed the outcast, fed the hungry, wept with mourners.
Sacrifice: His love was costly—and He gave it willingly.
To have His mind is to be transformed from the inside out—
Not just acting like Jesus, but thinking like Him.
Seeing people with His kindness.
Carrying burdens with His gentleness.
Facing trials with His trust.
It’s not natural. It’s supernatural—made possible only by His Spirit working within us.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus,
Let Your mind shape mine.
Replace selfish thoughts with surrendered ones,
Replace pride with humility, and fear with trust.
Teach me to see as You saw, love as You loved, and serve as You served.
Make Your mindset my heartbeat, today, tomorrow and forevermore. Amen.
