Grandpa said, “The Closed Door was guarded by an Angel with a flaming sword which turned every way.”

When I was a boy, I loved when Grandpa would read me stories from the Bible and tell me of God’s love for us.

“The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”” Genesis 2:8, 15-17

Adam and Eve both sinned against God and ate from the tree of good and evil and they died spiritually and were separated from God. Because of the Lord’s great love for them and hope that they would one day come back to Him, He removed them from the Garden to protect them so they would not eat of the tree of life and when they died forever be separated spiritually from God who wants all of us to be saved.

“So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.”
Genesis 3:24

Then God sent Jesus to earth to pay the price and take the punishment we deserve for sinning against God. Now by believing In Christ Jesus you will receive the Holy Spirit and eternal salvation and not be separated from God. Thank You Jesus.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
John 3:16-17

God loves all people and wants us to all know Him, trust Him and believe in Him. He may close doors in our lives to protect us from going in the wrong direction and being harmed, but while we are alive the door is always open to believe in Christ Jesus.

Salvation Prayer: Confessing to God that I am a sinner and believing that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins on the cross and was raised for my justification, I do now receive and confess Him as my personal Savior.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord…” Jeremiah 29:11-14a
