Why do I ever hesitate to step out and do God’s will?
Maybe it’s because I don’t really understand “the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him.” Or maybe I don’t really believe that power is available for me. Or maybe I’m not sure if what I think is God’s will is actually His will. Maybe you deal with some of these same issues. But, if you feel even the slightest inkling to do something for the Kingdom, let me encourage you. After hearing story after story, from real people who are still alive today, I know the power of God is still available to us today who sincerely follow Him. But what if you’re not sure something is God’s will? Read this next part carefully.
It does not matter if you’re not 100% sure it’s God’s will. Here is the key. If you are consistently spending time in His Presence, and you’re reading and obeying His word. And if you then take action that is in alignment with the Bible, and you do it with the right motives, to love God and people, then He will honor it…or redirect you to an even better path. Do godly work, for godly purposes, and let God use it according to His will.
Don’t worry about whether it’s His exact plan at this moment, God’s plans can’t be thwarted by our actions. It’s more important to take action in the direction we believe is the will of God than to hesitate our entire lives away waiting for God to give us the complete roadmap for our future. There are souls to be saved! Get moving and allow God to infuse you with “the mighty power that raised Christ from the dead”!
