Stress and Anxiety will come. But what I do know is that I can be kind. I know how to smile instead of scowl. I know how to listen. I know how to pray. I know that we need one another. Regardless of politics or culture wars or race or religion.
Every day we are bombarded with messages, some true and some false. The books we read, movies we see, television shows we watch, social media we use, and content we view online all bang at the guardhouse of our heart, demanding entrance . . . itching to set up camp. It’s a song about those way-points on life’s journey when you find yourself utterly broken; that moment when you hit rock bottom and you know that something has to change. And, it’s about the life-changing grace that is found in those moments. His favorite lines from the song says, “Like Cain, I now behold this chain of events that I must break.”

Our story is a human story. It’s more than that. You, Lord, are in our story – even when we don’t realize it. We find it difficult to put this into words – but we believe it’s true. You are there with us, every step of the way . . .
