Every day we are bombarded with messages, some true and some false. The books we read, movies we see, television shows we watch, social media we use, and content we view online all bang at the guardhouse of our heart, demanding entrance . . . itching to set up camp. That’s why we “must” guard our heart above all else.
As we age our bones begin to crackle and ache. New pains come uninvited to remind us we are growing older. Friends pass and sorrow grabs our heart. But in all of this David shares how we can find comfort.
Believing isn’t an act of will, it is a choice of the heart. Belief is a powerful choice because it engages spiritual resources naïveté is unacquainted with.

God wants us to be as healthy based on His diet plan . We don’t need a Ph.D. to understand this simple philosophy: Eat for Nutrients. God took time to design us for that.
Ministry is hard. It’s so easy to make excuses. “I can’t take time to pray and read the Bible right now. The people need me!” We can even feel noble about the sacrifices we are making for the sake of our church. But God said obedience is better than sacrifice. That includes obeying God commands to wait on the Lord and be filled with God’s Spirit.
