We can never reduce God to our understanding, because when we do, we begin to manage Him, and that’s because it’s in our fallen sinful nature to want to have some measure of control.

Why Does Scripture Include Christ’s Detailed Genealogies?
The genealogies of Jesus recorded by Matthew and Luke prove that He was not a self-appointed Messiah; a misguided reformer caught up in popular acclaim who began to have delusions of grandeur. Nor was He merely a good teacher of morality and ethics, or a revolutionary out to overthrow Rome’s rule. His genealogies, tracing His ancestry back through David and Abraham to Adam and ultimately to God Himself, show that Jesus was Israel’s rightful king.

Thick black smoke made it impossible to see. He was wandering, searching for a way out when his low air-warning bell began its constant ring. He was disoriented. He was running out of time. He had no idea which way to go. The panic began to well up inside. Then, behind him, he just barely heard the sound of someone else’s low air alarm in the distance.
Should I follow that sound, he thought, or should I stay here by this window? He decided to take a chance, and follow the sound of the bell. “Through the Lord’s guidance, no brilliance of my own, I came walking out . . . ” to safety. When the bell rings, when the Lord calls, what will you do?
The Mantle of A Godly Grandfather

Will they continue to walk in the Light of the Christ who died for them? It may be time to evaluate your legacy, for we are but, “70 years, or 80 by strength..and they are soon gone, and we fly away.”
The Chain That I Must Break

It’s a song about those way-points on life’s journey when you find yourself utterly broken; that moment when you hit rock bottom and you know that something has to change.
