Treating the Symptom, Not the Sin

Teaching our kids manners is no solution to the problem of human depravity. Punishment won’t solve the problem, either. In fact, parents who concentrate all their energies on correcting external behavior may be doing little more than training hypocrites.

Faith Nutrients

Is your faith head faith, or, is it heart faith? Does your faith poduce godly fruit? If you are not absorbing the nutrients from the word to grow in faith, you are not providing nourishment for the soul of others.

The Wonder of God’s Patience

We grieve the Holy Spirit when we forsake His guidance; we diminish the glory of Jesus when we demean and ridicule one another — we forget from where we receive our righteousness. Yet, he puts up with us because his love is patient!

HE WHO BEGAN A GOOD WORK IN YOU

When we first come to faith in Jesus Christ, God begins the supernatural work of regeneration. His presence, through the indwelling Holy Spirit, causes us to increase in Christ-likeness and maturity. We are transformed as we walk with God, abide in Christ, and are filled with the Holy Spirit.

WHICH WAY DO I GO LORD?

The difficulty in knowing what the Lord wants for us is in the area of His specific will. The specifics of what to do, where to go, and what to choose can really be a challenge. God wants us to know His will, so we can do His will and please Him in the process.

HOW TO FOOL YOURSELF

The Lord warns of a very serious way we can fool ourselves spiritually “If we say we have no sin, we deceive (fool) ourselves…” Many, today, believe their sin is not sin. Have they become lax in their attitude toward sin? Have you?
