Our souls have a hard time actually accepting this.

We’ve all been through situations where we asked and did not receive.
As noted, prayer is a primary venue for developing intimacy with God.
I’m perfectly content to send up my prayers and leave the answering of them to the Lord.
Simply hearing God’s Word has no lasting value . . .
We are talking about being in the presence of God and seeing Him move.

We are not fasting to have more of God — we’re fasting so he can have more of us!
Those are the words I long to hear because it doesn’t matter what or where paradise is or isn’t, as long as Jesus is there.
