Talking about our faith with our grandchildren ought to be as natural as breathing. It is difficult for me to divorce my faith in God from any aspect of my life. I don’t want to be obsessive and/or obnoxious with my faith, but I do want to be comfortable weaving it into every arena of my life, including my grandchildren.
This post is one of Derek’s best! He wishes Happy Birthday to his grandson through a letter that tells him how important he is to him, his family, and to the Kingdom of God. Pray that as you read this letter, you will be inspired to write your grands and remind them of “their” importance.
I want our relationship to the wide world to be right now. Help; respect; belief; a steadying hand; investment in others; hope; promise; courage evidenced in one because of encouragement from the other; self-giving generosity; love in action . . .

But then again it always is a Great Day when we not only celebrate our family, but when we do it in the context of community and living faith.”

While Easter bunnies and Easter egg hunts are fun, as grandparents there are other fun activities that teach our grandchildren the true meaning of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ . . .
Did you know that our grandchildren absorb everything we do and say? When we are aware of this, we begin to realize that we should be prepared to give a gentle answer for why we love Jesus Christ.
So often we are given an opportunity to teach our children, and grandchildren how to trust God. But do we? Andy teaches us through his experience with that teachable moment.
