In our Guest Poem today we are reminded that even though our bodies are changing. God is beside us remininding us of his purpose in our life.
Remember the days of little to no air conditioning? Riding down the road with the windows down and seeing old men, typically alone, cooling off under a shade tree? I often wondered what they must think while sitting there all by themselves. It seemed like a such a sad waist of time.
As we age our bones begin to crackle and ache. New pains come uninvited to remind us we are growing older. Friends pass and sorrow grabs our heart. But in all of this David shares how we can find comfort.
This key attribute of God is clearly revealed and illustrated often in Scripture and in the life of His Son Jesus. God’s love and faithfulness are linked together: “Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.”
