What if everyone in the “family of believers” took this verse to heart?
What if we recognized and took every opportunity to “do good” for everyone…especially those in the “family”?
What if we lived with our antennae up, seeking opportunities ot help?
Would that not make our world better?
I’d love to live in a world like that. Wouldn’t you?
But, it occurs to me; I am a a part of “the family of believers”.
As such, I must be more than just a recipient of the good that others do. I must also “go about doing good”?
In Acts 10:38 I found “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about DOING GOOD and healing all who were under the tyranny of the devil.”
The next time you think “What would Jesus do?” change it to “What DID Jesus do?” and then “go thou and do likewise”.
After all, in John 14:12 Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, the one who believes in Me will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these because I’m going to the Father.”
So, won’t you join me in becoming a “do-gooder” today.
After all, that’s what Jesus did.
