Do You Wonder Why So Many People Seem to Have Lost Their Minds?

True wisdom begins with God. Rejecting His Word leads to confusion, but remaining in Christ brings clarity and understanding.

Do you wonder why so many people seem to have lost their minds? Why they have ideas or opinions that don’t make logical sense and cannot be understood through the lens of reason? Here is the answer. If you turn from the word of the Lord there is no wisdom available to you. Unless your foundation is in Christ and His word, you have no foundation. And without wisdom from His word, ideas and opinions will be foolish…the Proverbs make that clear. But beloved, let me give you a gentle warning. No one is immune to this failure.

We too must remain vigilant in our reading of and obedience to “the whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27). We must remain humble, always open to correction by the Holy Spirit and by more mature Jesus followers. We must not assume that we are always wise and always right, if we think too highly of our own wisdom, we are in danger of falling ourselves (1 Corinthians 10:12).

We see this in churches that have taken on positions which are wholly unbiblical but in their pride try to twist the scriptures to support their foolishness. And if this can happen in one church it can happen in any church. Beloved, be not proud because your church has not fallen.

Be humble, always faithfully pursuing a deeper understanding of the word of God and His truth through the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. Remain in Him no matter what you see around you or even when you are tempted to reject His sometimes uncomfortable truth.

The wise men shall be put to shame;
    they shall be dismayed and taken;
behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord,
    so what wisdom is in them?

Jeremiah 8:9 ESV
